Installation
Installation of your mains fed water cooler is usually a straight forward and speedy process, bringing little or no disruption to your business.

What do you need for a mains-fed cooler?
All we need to get your mains water cooler fully installed and up and running is access to a water supply, and a power socket!
The water source must be available within 3 meters of where the cooler will be sited, and the socket should be 1 meter away. Please contact us of advice on identifying a suitable location for your water cooler.
What does a typical mains-fed connection look like?
Mains-fed coolers are commonly connected with a small 15mm tube that leads to a drinking water source. We attach a special valve to this pipe work and then feed the water machine using hygienic grade flexible tubing.
The installation approach is very flexible, and the tubing can be run over a ceiling or through connecting walls. Our engineers will discuss your installation options with you fully before commencing work.
Is the installation permanent?
If the cooler is ever removed, the pipe work can be removed and the valve shut off for use at a later date. Installation of a mains-fed cooler is an unobtrusive process.
Safety
To connect to the water supply we use a “T” connection compression fitting or saddle valve. This can isolate the water supply when needed.

As an additional safety measure we also fit a water block safety valve that is designed to automatically shut off the water supply if a pre-set volume of water passed through the valve in one go. They are set to allow enough water to fill and operate the water machine, but in the event of a failure the water block safely shuts off the supply.
A pressure reduction valve is used to mitigate against any pressure spikes in your mains water supply.
All our fixtures are approved by the Water Regulation Advisory Service Scheme.
